Rochelle Silsbee

Rochelle Silsbee is the Senior Global Corporate Communications Manager for the Neuromodulation division at Boston Scientific. In this role, Rochelle is responsible for directing public relations campaigns and leadership communications, including communications and media outreach around issues management, regulatory approvals, product launches, clinical data announcements, patient education programming, as well as creating synergies and organizational alignment across a global workforce.
Rochelle has more than 17 years of communication, public affairs, and government affairs experience. Recently, she was Director of Public Affairs for Providence St. Joseph Health where she was responsible for collaborative interventions within the local regulatory and policy landscape to identify issues impacting the strategic interests of the organization. She also led the interaction between organizational leaders and local representatives while engaging employees in state and local advocacy. Prior to that, she served as Senior Policy Advisor for the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, Health Deputy for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Government Relations Manager at the Southern California Gas Company and Vice-President of Public Policy for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Originally from Pacoima, she grew up helping people literally establish roots in this community during the years spent working at her family’s nursery in North Hollywood and remains passionate about keeping Pacoima Beautiful. Rochelle’s family are also among the initial founders of the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center following the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II. Like many in our community, she is a first-generation college graduate, receiving both her bachelor’s degree and master’s degrees at Cal State Northridge while working full time. She is married with two children and enjoys traveling, reading, surfing and hiking.
