Claudia Vasquez
Community Outreach Worker
Claudia, born and raised in Sylmar, is a passionate advocate for environmental and public health. She graduated from California State University, Northridge in 2023 with a degree in Chicano and Chicana Studies. Claudia was introduced by her father to Pacoima Beautiful with the Community Inspectors program. Since joining Pacoima Beautiful in 2018, Claudia has worked on a variety of community-focused projects. As a community outreach worker, she collaborates with organizations like LA County Public Health, the Liberty Hill Foundation, LA Sanitation, and the Los Angeles Housing Department. Her projects include the Food Waste Project, the 2020 Census, Covid-19 outreach, Lead Hazard Remediation, Silicosis awareness, and the Bold Vision Youth Thriving survey. Outside of her work, Claudia loves to travel, explore new places, and share her thoughts on movies. She is also the proud owner of two cats who, despite looking identical, have completely opposite personalities, bringing extra fun to her life.
