The Clean Air Ambassador Program is part of the Community Engagement Plan of the Transformative Climate Communities grant. This program aims to empower community residents around environmental justice and equity while they learn how to understand air quality data.

Participants learn how to utilize a personal Airbeam, and throughout 6 weeks, use them to record data around heat and particulate matter 2.5 and answer their research questions. We partner with health organizations and university researchers to include educational training around various environmental health topics.

This knowledge-sharing program gives participants a deeper understanding of how air quality impacts community health and empowers them to further delve into air quality and other environmental issues in their community. Over the course of 6 weeks, you will be trained to collect and understand data using Personal Air Quality monitors while getting outside and exploring your neighborhood.

Join Pacoima Beautiful as we equip community members with the data and knowledge to advocate for better air quality!
