Our Community Inspectors program brings together passionate community members dedicated to strengthening neighborhood relationships and driving positive change. At our weekly meetings, participants gain tools and skills to launch campaigns that make our neighborhoods cleaner, safer, and more vibrant. Each week covers a new topic, and all ages are welcome!

Home Composting & Urban Gardening

This workshop will teach you how to turn kitchen scraps and yard trimmings into a nutrient-rich soil amendment. Home composting is taught by a team of ten rotating LA Sanitation & Environment green waste specialists. Each participant will take home a free garden plant at the end of the event. Some workshops even have surprise guests!
mARTEs (Arts and Crafts)

Are you interested in crafting? Join us every Tuesday at Casa Esperanza for a 2 hour crafting classes! Every week participants learn new skills and take on new crafts that emphasize the importance of reusing items. Classes are open to anyone every Tuesday from 10AM-12PM.

EveryoneOn works to close the digital divide by connecting under-resourced communities to affordable internet, devices, and digital skills training.
This adult digital skills program helps participants build confidence using technology to access essential services like healthcare, jobs, and education. It also connects eligible individuals to low-cost internet and donated computers, while fostering community through a supportive, virtual learning environment.

Come get your hands in the soil and connect with neighbors at our monthly community gardening day! On the first Friday of each month, we gather at Jardín Pacoima to help care for the garden—planting, weeding, watering, and making it a welcoming green space for all. It’s also a great chance to meet our Community Inspectors, a group of dedicated local leaders working to improve our neighborhoods. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just curious, all are welcome.
